The new Chieftain Taksony Bridge at Dunavarsány is a simply supported Warren truss, without upper wind bracing. The composite action between the steel cross girders and the RC deck is provided by steel studs. The bridge was assembled at the shore assembly area and then pushed above the water as a cantilever. From there, the front of the bridge was supported on a barge and floated to its final position. The old bridge was pulled ashore and then dismantled in a similar way.
