APPROACH BRIDGES OF THE PENTELE BRIDGE

The Pentele bridge at Dunaújváros is an arch bridge of 300 m span. The approach bridges adjoin to the main river bridge with movement joints. There is a 13-span approach bridge on the right side, and a 4-span bridge on the left side. The approach bridges consist of separate superstructures for each carriageway. The statical system: continuous multi-span beam bridges. The cross section is a box section with inclined webs and an orthotropic deck. The construction technology was incremental launching from the river.

Our sevices included the design of the auxiliary sturctures needed for the assembly of the arches of the main span. The height of these  maximum 40-meter-high scaffolding systems are adjustable, they have been used numerously for other construction purposes.
