The bridge at Árok Street over the Danube branch in Esztergom was built to divert the traffic passing through the Mária Valéria Bridge. Its appearance matches the neighboring bridges built earlier on the Danube branch, both in terms of the arched lower edge and the stone coverings and railings. Our architect partner was A.D.U. Architects.
The structure is a one-span frame bridge. The composite superstructure consists of four steel plate girders of increasing depth and a RC deck plate. The pile-wall foundation consists of reinforced bored piles and ”jet-grouting” piles in between them.
