The Tetőfedő Street pedestrian bridge over M7 Motorway at Érd was reconstructed in 2002. The 35 years old two span continuous R.C. box beam bridge showed big deflections and a lot of cracks. Beyond the full-scale reconstruction of the bridge, external prestressing was used in order to reduce the above faults and to improve the long term serviceability of the bridge.
